Phiaro Scarf
The Phiaro Scarf by Katie Himmelberg was featured in the Winter 07/Spring 08 KnitScene magazine.
It is a flowy scarf worked in very long rounds; stitches are dropped during the bind-off to create the dropped-stitch sections and the fringe. When it is all done, the scarf measures 90 inches long and 22 inches wide.
It can be easily gathered as a scarf or spread out as a stole.
The Fibre Studio's version is made using three skeins of our hand dyed 100% silk in the color Earth. It is incredibly soft and light weight.
Some other beautiful yarns for this project are Manos Silky Wool multi, Punta and Fiesta Ballet.
